Dear Mr Brown,
Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill
I have a personal and professional interest in the above Bill. And I
have two questions about it.
First, when will it be introduced into the House of Commons? There
seems to be considerable uncertainty about this for I have already
heard several dates mentioned.
Second, I understand that this is a government Bill, but will Labour
MPs be given a free vote on all its aspects? I sincerely hope so
because I cannot see how cloning, human admixed embryos, etc.,
can be regarded as party political matters.
Yours sincerely,
Dr John R. Ling.

Dear Mr Brown,
Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill
I refer to my letter (8 February 2008, copy attached) and your reply
via Mr R. Smith (21 February).
In my original letter, I specifically asked two straightforward questions.
Your reply answered neither of them. Would you now be so kind as to
send me a more thoughtful response?
Yours sincerely,
Dr John R. Ling.
